Cities and communities are home to over half of the global population and account for around 75% of global energy-related greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Strategizing mitigation actions at the city level is crucial to combat global climate change, but this can’t be done without first measuring the city’s GHG emissions. The Global Protocol for Community-Scale Greenhouse Gas Emission Inventories (GPC) provides a standardized framework for cities and local governments to assess and report emissions within their geographic boundaries. Join our workshop on accounting for city-scale GHG emissions with a 2-in-1 package that includes an intensive workshop and a demonstration of digital templated tools for a more engaging, hands-on learning experience!
