Elevating Compliance Skills Ahead of EECA 2024 Implementation 3

Optimal Systems Engineering Sdn Bhd (OPTIMISE) collaboration with Institut Teknologi Petroleum PETRONAS (INSTEP) successfully organised the In-House EECA Capacity Building Program at Mercure Living, Putrajaya for Petronas, bringing together key technical personnel to strengthen their knowledge and application of the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act 2024 (EECA 2024). This specialised initiative focused on enhancing compliance planning and technical capacity for EECA 2024’s key components, reflecting OPTIMISE’s commitment to supporting organisations in aligning their energy management practices with national sustainability objectives.

The program was conducted over a structured 10-week period and featured an intensive three-day technical workshop designed to strengthen participants’ understanding of EECA 2024 requirements. Using actual energy audit reports from participating facilities, participants engaged in comprehensive gap analyses, data preparation, and report enhancement exercises to ensure their outputs were fully aligned with regulatory expectations.

In addition, guided simulations were conducted, including mock technical interviews to assess and enhance participants’ ability to apply EECA-aligned methodologies and present audit findings effectively. This practical and interactive approach enabled participants to address real reporting gaps and build greater readiness for regulatory compliance.

Through this initiative, OPTIMISE successfully enhanced participants’ capacity to apply EECA 2024 requirements in real operational contexts, improve technical reporting quality, and strengthen organisational compliance strategies. Delivered by certified REA trainers, the program combined regulatory insight, industrial experience, and structured coaching to deliver impactful and practical outcomes.

Building on this momentum, OPTIMISE is proud to announce its upcoming:
