Building Smarter, Greener Industries Through EECA Compliance

CETM Electrotest Sdn. Bhd., in collaboration with Optimal Systems Engineering Sdn. Bhd. (OPTIMISE), recently delivered a one-day workshop at Geno Hotel Subang Jaya on 4 September 2025, aimed at equipping participants with the knowledge and tools required to comply with the upcoming Energy Efficiency & Conservation Act (EECA).
The workshop provided a comprehensive overview of the EECA, including mandatory requirements, deadlines, and penalties for non-compliance. Sessions were structured around key components such as energy audits, the Energy Management System (EnMS) framework, and the roles of Registered Energy Managers (REMs). Practical strategies for company readiness were also highlighted, from building internal systems and assigning responsibilities to implementing proactive maintenance approaches such as thermal imaging, vibration checks, and routine servicing.
Participants also gained hands-on exposure through live demonstrations of diagnostic technologies, showcasing tools that can improve efficiency and support EECA compliance.
