The virtual workshop on Understanding Energy Efficiency Conservation Act (EECA) and Its Impact on Companies held on 13 March, 2025, gathered 40 industry professionals nationwide, including energy managers, compliance officers, facility and operations managers, and senior ESG executives.

The EECA Deep Dive workshop covered a comprehensive breakdown of EECA 2024, providing practical insights for regulatory compliance. Key topics included:

      • Key components of the EEC Act and their implications.
      • EEC regulations and guidelines for energy consumers and building owners.
      • Compliance timeline and seven key preparation steps.
      • Penalties for non-compliance.

Participants gained deeper understanding of EECA and valued the interactive session.

Azhar Abdul Raof, a SIRIM Berhad senior consultant, shared that, “ This workshop has given me a clear understanding of the actual requirements of the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act (EECA). Speakers provided insightful explanations, making it easier to grasp the complexities of the act and how it applies to different sectors.
