To align with the global and national initiatives to mitigate climate change, organisations need to propose initiatives and implementation measures toward low carbon and sustainable manufacturing by reducing their GHG emissions. In designing the action plan, one must know the source of GHG emissions, and more importantly, quantify it. Thus, there is a need to understand the systematic approach for GHG reporting.
This course highlights the concept and principles of GHG accounting and reporting, including the inventory boundary, GHG emission identification and methodologies and reporting format. The approach shall enable a company to quantify GHG that are associated with initiatives to reduce GHG emissions toward low carbon and sustainable manufacturing.
