From 14–15 January 2026, Optimal Systems Engineering Sdn Bhd (OPTIMISE) successfully delivered a two-day online workshop titled “Concept and Procedure for the Establishment of an Energy Management System (EnMS) Based on ISO 50001:2018” via Microsoft Teams. The programme brought together professionals and organisations committed to strengthening energy governance, improving energy performance, and meeting statutory obligations under EECA 2024.
The workshop was designed to equip participants with structured knowledge and practical guidance to establish, implement, monitor, and maintain an ISO 50001:2018-aligned EnMS. Key topics included the core requirements of ISO 50001:2018, translating EnMS elements into actionable implementation steps, integrating energy planning and performance evaluation into organisational systems, and applying continual improvement principles to sustain long-term energy performance gains. Participants also received 16 Mandatory CDP Hours, supporting professional development and industry readiness.
Delivered by Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr Zainuddin Abd Manan (CEO, OPTIMISE), Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr Sharifah Rafidah Wan Alwi (Director, R&D, OPTIMISE), and Associate Prof. Ir. Dr Lim Jeng Shiun (Director, Product & Services, OPTIMISE), the sessions combined technical understanding with practical insights—drawing on real implementation experience to help participants confidently apply EnMS concepts within their organisations.
