Become a Registered Energy Manager (REM)

Start your REM journey with OPTIMISE.
Gain the qualifications required by the Energy Commission.

-REM Type 1
For facilities using 21,600–50,000 GJ/year

-REM Type 2
For facilities using 50,000 GJ/year or more
(REM Type 1 must be completed first and held for at least 1 year)

Certificate valid for 5 years
Type 2 required if you want to serve as external REM

REM Renewal & CDP Requirements

Maintain your REM certification with ease.
Earn 16 CDP points/year to renew your REM license.

-Mandatory CDP Courses
Complete 80 CDP hours per REM type to be exempt from annual training.
Refer to Guide on Registration – Appendix CC

-Optional CDP Courses
Earn points toward annual renewal (not eligible for exemption).
E.g., 32 points = 2-year renewal
