Optimal Systems Engineering recently completed a nationwide tour of duty across the North, South, East and (Central) West of Malaysia, delivering in-house EECA and EnMS capacity building workshops and energy audit engagements for leading national and multi-national organisations including IOI Group (Penang), Johor Plantation Group,  Proton, Hartalega, CCM Group, PETRONAS (PPTSB-PICARO), Perodua, Knauf Insulation, TNB ILSAS, Puma Energy, Hersheys and Barry Callebaut.

Structured workshops inclusively engaged company management, energy managers, and technical energy teams, strengthening organisational understanding of roles, responsibilities, and governance requirements under the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act (EECA).

🔹 EECA Compliance Planning & EnMS Development

Targeted technical capacity building covering:

  • Registered Energy Manager (REM) In-House Training
  • Thermal (Pinch Analysis) and electrical energy audits
  • Establishment and enhancement of Energy Management Systems (EnMS)
  • Alignment with ISO 50001 principles and requirements
  • Practical implementation of ST (Energy Commission) guidelines
  • Development of compliance roadmaps, energy policies, objectives, and Energy Performance Indicators (EnPIs)

🔹 Energy Audit, Energy Efficiency and Conservation Capacity Building

Hands-on technical focus on:

  • Monitoring, Measurement & Verification (MMV) frameworks
  • Energy baseline development and performance tracking
  • Identification and evaluation of Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs)
  • Coverage of both thermal systems and electrical energy systems
